As a managing shareholder and partner at Phillips Law Corp, Brent Phillips oversees the firm's primary areas through a team of lawyers and litigators, providing diverse services that include general, casualty, professional, and product liability, as well as business formations and transactions for individuals, family businesses, and Fortune 500 companies. As a practicing attorney, however, Brent Phillips' practice focuses on insurance coverage. He has tried over 40 jury trials, dozens of court trials to verdicts, and recovered over $20 million in coverage for his clients.
Mr. Phillips' expertise in insurance coverage encompasses errors and omissions (E&O) policies, owner-controlled insurance programs (also known as Wrap policies), executive and management policies for directors and officers, as well as commercial general liability. Wrap policies typically cover construction workers working with different subcontractors by providing an umbrella package rather than individual contractor insurance.
Brent Phillips is licensed to practice in several dockets, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts of California, Arizona, and Maryland. He graduated cum laude from Chapman University with a bachelor of arts in economics, and later pursued a juris doctorate from American University’s College of Law in Washington.
